Building sustainable work
We help you design and build sustainable work to cultivate a sustainable and thriving work environment that not only prioritizes the well-being of employees but also promotes their performance.

Almost one-third of our lives is spent at work
Given this substantial investment of time, it's essential to ensure that our work is not just functional but also meaningful, motivating, and conducive to our overall wellbeing and performance.

At Rewire, we understand that well-designed work can significantly influence how employees experience their work, impacting their motivation, work engagement, thriving, and overall performance. Unfortunately, the importance of qualitative work design is often underestimated or overlooked in many organizations.

By optimizing the content and organization of one’s tasks, activities, relationships, and responsibilities (Parker, 2014), we help companies unlock the full potential of their people and create an environment where employees thrive and perform.

Improving the organization, content of and relations at work

Our approach draws upon established scientific theories, including the Job Demands-Resources model (Demerouti, Bakker, Nachreiner & Schaufeli, 2001) and SMART work design developed by Australian Research Council Professor Sharon Parker at the Future of Work Institute. Our approach is grounded in positive psychology and the latest scientific insights. Beyond developing content, we also offer guidance on the most effective ways to facilitate change.
How we make work work

Our work design approach begins by thoroughly examining the current dynamics of work. We initiate this process by administering a comprehensive work design survey, providing valuable insights into the strengths and areas for improving the quality of work.
Following this, we consult with employees and managers through focus groups or interviews, to gain deeper insights into the existing work characteristics and their impact on individuals' thriving and performance.
Additionally, we may supplement this qualitative data with analysis of organizational and HR metrics to provide a comprehensive understanding.
This multifaceted assessment offers an extensive overview of the effectiveness of various aspects of work and identifies key areas for enhancing work design.
2. Define focus and design approach
Our next step is to synthesize the wealth of information gathered during the analysis phase. Working closely with your teams, we analyze the findings to discern key areas requiring attention and potential opportunities for improvement.

Through collaborative discussions we define clear priorities that align with your organization's goals and values. With a refined focus and defined priorities in place, we proceed to establish an approach, complete with actionable goals, steps, and interventions aimed at fostering sustainable and motivating work.

3. Redesign
Based on the chosen approach, we implement the selected interventions, which may include:
-
Participative work design and team crafting: (Re)defining and crafting tasks, roles, and responsibilities within or across different teams. This aims to achieve synergy between the human, motivational aspects of work and the organizational requirements.
-
Sustainable people practices: We provide guidance and support your organization in establishing people practices and processes that align with your organizational strategy while meeting the needs of your employees. Our aim is to assist you in creating sustainable career & performance management practices and fostering strength-based work approaches to enhance the employability, engagement, and performance of your people.
-
Positive and sustainable leadership: our leadership development programmes enable your leaders to cultivate an open and inclusive environment where people feel valued, respected, and supported. We create awareness and develop the skills to lead with trust, establish high-quality connections, and leverage the strengths and interests of employees, fostering employee thriving and performance.
-
Adapting the organizational, department or business unit structure to the company's or department's strategy in line with sustainable work practices.
4. Monitor, assess effectiveness and improve
In the final step, we monitor and measure the effectiveness of the implemented interventions.
